Noticeboard

We are still here for you - if you need to see a doctor or nurse please call and we will offer a phone consultation to discuss and if appropriate we can bring you in to a safe environment.  We have 15 or 30 minute appointment slots where we meet you at the door and take your temperature and ask about your health; you are then directed straight in to a clean room with the Dr or Nurse who will see you and then let you out of a separate exit door so as not to meet the next patient coming in.  The room is then cleaned down in preparation for the next patient attending who goes through the same process.  We do ask you NOT TO COME EARLY OR LATE to allow for cleaning and preparation and do not come in if you do not have an appointment booked by phone.

The whole healthcare family here at Martins Oak would like to say a big THANK YOU to all our lovely patients for your kindness, understanding and outpourings of support for us and all NHS / Care workers in this time of crisis. We really appreciate all your kind words and deeds.

Travel Vaccinationsglobal air travel

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below.

Please complete one travel questionnaire for each Patient of the practice who is travelling.

Please note that if you are travelling within 21 days of this application you may have to go to a Travel Clinic (nearest ones at Brighton or Gatwick or visit masta-travel-health.com for online  travel plan and bookings to  local pharmacy clinics)  as we cannot guarantee getting stocks in  time or guarantee full immunity if vaccinations are  given too close to departure date.

  1. Please follow the link below for the travel questionnaire which will be sent electronically.
  2. Ring us one full week later, and you will be told what vaccines are recommended and any cost. You can then make an appointment in our practice nurses’ travel clinic.
  3. If your planned immunisations include some for which there is a charge bring the appropriate money or a cheque-book when you attend. No money, no Injections!

Europe Europe & Russia North America North America
Central America Central America South America South America
Caribbean Caribbean Africa Africa
Middle East Middle East Central Asia Central Asia
East Asia East Asia Australasia Australasia and Pacific

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

Travel Health Questionnaire

To help us offer the appropriate advice, please fill out the online form before coming to see the nurse. PLEASE ensure you fill in destination details, type of accomodation and especially if you are going off the beaten track at all.
