Noticeboard

ALL patients attending the Surgery for their pre-booked appointment will be asked to wear a face covering or mask in line with the latest advice.

FACE COVERING - from 24.7.20

The Government guidance suggests there is no requirement for evidence for exemption. It should be sufficient for someone to declare that they are eligible for an exemption direct with the person questioning them (eg bus driver / shop).

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own#exemptions-to-wearing-a-face-covering-where-they-are-mandated

Practices are therefore not required to provide letters of support for those who fall under the list of exemptions, or to those who do not fall under the list of exemptions.

Appointments

circled_dayTo make an appointment to see a GP or nurse ring 01424 772060.  We try to see patients as soon as possible.

If you really need to be seen today, please let the receptionists know this.  If there is no routine appointment available with a GP they may ask you to come to the surgery to be seen as an “extra” by whichever GP is available to see you first.

Monday is our busiest day, when patients who have developed illnesses over the weekend call us.  We try to make very few ‘follow-up’ appointments on Mondays and prefer these later in the week.

If you would like to book your appointments on line - please visit the surgery to get your password and pin details printed off for your personal use only.  Appointments are booked using https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk  and then following log on instructions using your pin number from your form.

Please note that due to the system configuration there are only four appointments shown per Doctor per session but this does not necessarily reflect the extended number that may be on offer.  Please call if you cannot find a suitable time for your booking.

Telephone Appointments

We also offer telephone appointments for problems which you feel can be dealt with on the phone.  The receptionists will take your phone number (mobiles are ok, provided you are not driving) and the doctor will ring back.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
